Todey to Tangta — through villages, forest, and monastery
A trek that sees almost no tourist traffic. Through living villages, across streams, past waterfalls, into dense forest adjoining Neora Valley National Park, and up to Tangta Monastery near the Indo-Bhutan border.
Day 2 is 7–8 hours of walking. You earn every view. Two nights camping — one in the forest, one beside the monastery.

Pick up from Siliguri. Drive to Todey or Pala village homestay. Rest, explore, early night.
Through rural villages, past waterfalls, across forest streams, into hills bordering Neora Valley. The long day. Hot meal at camp. Sleep under stars.
To Tangta village and the ancient Tangta Monastery near the Indo-Bhutan border. Camp near the monastery. Views among the finest in the Dooars.
Breakfast at camp. Final look at the monastery and the hills. Return to Siliguri, NJP, or Bagdogra.
