About this tea

The wok-fired green tea sold through this site is made by a tea professional who has been doing this by hand for forty years. Leaves are picked, pan-fired in a wok to stop oxidation, rolled by hand, then dried. A method that requires attention and patience. Not scalable in any useful sense.

The wok gives the tea a smoky, slightly mineral character. It is not subtle. It does not taste like mass-produced green tea. The aftertaste is sweet and stays.
